New member here seeking some help on a switch and wiring.. I'm trying to set up a Hagstrom Swede which has a tone selector switch in addition to the 3 way pick up switch. I'm hoping to use a 3 way type switch which when toggled to one direction engages one type of capacitor (.015) , when switched to the other direction hits another capacitor (.47) and when centered bypasses both capacitors (clean). This switch is the last stop to the output, being fed from the pickup selector switch upstream. I'm confused as to which Switchcraft switch to use and/or how to wire it. I have a Switchcraft 3 way pick up toggle switch but if I use that, won't the center position blend both capacitors when I want to bypass them using the standard 3 way toggle? I've attached a picture of the Hagstrom swede wiring diagram as well as a few pictures from the old asian switch which was removed with the capacitors mounted. Given that I found several wiring mistakes on the factory installed pick ups and equipment the original switch may have been wired incorrectly from the start. Thanks for any help figuring out which switch to use and/or how to wire it appropriately. I've also upgraded to CTS pots and dimarzio super 2 in neck and dimarzio 36th anniversary in bridge. Really looking forward to finishing this project!

nice to see things a bit different now and then
I did talk to a guy about some thing like this. He has been making 2P6T Rotary Switch that changes the Cap from 22nF to 1nF and a bypass i think. To effect the bass.. BUT that was a in Series Capacitor ... like the 4n7F (0.0047uF)
Call himself JONEY and was on Youtube (nice guy)

As for the 15nF (0.015uF) I think G&L on some Circuits Drawings i've seen around have a 1nF just after the Selection Switch and before all the Treble/Bass Tone Controls

pnwmule- Hello and Welcome to G-Nutz2!Yes, it will. The three-way pickup selector switch is likely a single-pole double throw (SPDT) switch. To bypass both caps in the center position (as shown on the Swede schematic you posted) you will want a DPDT On-On-On switch. Alternatively, a single-pole (or double pole) On-Off-On could be used, but those are going to be harder to find on guitar parts websites; you will likely have to go to one of the electronics supply houses to find one.
