Background: I have a bass I sold and the guy needs some improvements in the controls. the PTBM I had installed is confusing for him and I'm looking for an iteration that's more "guitarist friendly". Mid tone pot and blender pot are something guitarists don't have experience with, so are disposable. There are 5 holes to fill. I have drawn out two different first draft iterations influenced by - a Rogue bass 4 pot design with a very unusual yet useful 2 pot treble cut system you can check out over here Rogue LX200B P/J bass - a desire for keep the bass cut 1MC pot. The user lives in an apartment building, so reducing bass 'thump' late at night is a good idea - The first diagram is more orthodox using a pickup selector and what seems to be a more standard PTB wire routing. - The second more closely follows the Rogue design but as the Rogue wiring is unorthodox, the bass cut wiring and total circuit may be wrong -- or less than fully functional. Weight in on that please. Overall I need to know if either drawing has issues (and some solutions to fix them up if that is so).
