So many don't know circuit diagrams (why would you) and go for this wiring diagrams system
Just wonder if having graphics for a pot switch etc that people could just save and import in to paint etc and move around .
All in one place buy I can imagine it getting messy with put this in etc..
2p4t switch where I don't know which one is common and the 2p2t on/on/on knowing which end is what (I don't even know the circuit icon for one of them)

ChrisK was on this idea back in 2006. These can be cut/pasted into diagrams as needed: guitarnuts2.proboards.com/thread/3760/electronics-templatesYogi B, and others, seem to use something called the "Guitar Stencils project", which creates beautiful diagrams. Unfortunately, one has to download a certain program to use the stencils and, since I'm usually on my work laptop, the IT guys restrict what I can download.

Yogi B, and others, seem to use something called the "Guitar Stencils project", which creates beautiful diagrams. Unfortunately, one has to download a certain program to use the stencils That program is Microsoft Visio. Visio with the guitar stencils project makes diagraming a breeze. Like, say you want to adjust one wire… all you do is select the wire; and then you can move it around freely bending it however you want. However, Microsoft Visio costs $$$. I made and edited one diagram with it being activated with an illegal (I don’t recommend that) duplicate pin (they discovered that pin being spread and have disabled me using it). But, if you’re going to be creating lots of diagrams, I recommend you get Visio bc it’s nice and easy! 🙂 sites.google.com/site/guitarstencilsproject

There's also MyDraw, a Mac-compatible program that works with the GuitarStencilsProject (and also imports/exports Visio files). The program is a little buggy, but it's pretty much the only option Ive found for Mac. It's a lot less expensive than Visio.
They have a Windows version too. In fact, I believe that the Mac version is actually running in a "windows-on-mac" shell, which may be the source of some of the bugs. But again, it's the only game in Mac Town... save often.
